(Dacula, GA) – Gwinnett County Police, reporting to a call, found the body of 39 year old James Etheridge of Dacula off of Mount Moriah road last night at around 7:00 PM. Mr. Etheridge was apparently the victim of a single vehicle motorcycle accident.
According to investigators Etheridge’s motorcycle was traveling east on Mount Moriah Road, between Clark Dr. and High Point Drive in unincorporated Auburn within Gwinnett County, when he was unable to successfully negotiate a curve. The motorcyclist struck a guardrail, continued down an embankment and struck several small trees. Etheridge died on scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigators say they believe Etheridge had been dead for several days before being discovered. Neither he nor his motorcycle were not visible from the roadway. It is presently unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in this accident.
